Cultural Considerations when Communicating Landlords and Refugees Needs (Western)

When housing refugees and newcomers, it is essential to consider their cultural traditions, norms, and orientation when communicating with prospective landlords. It is also important to understand the landlord’s world when communicating the needs/expectations of refugees. This session will demonstrate how to assist refugees and landlords with understanding the role(s) each play when communicating throughout the rental process.
